It's always a good time to cook tamales! And this delicious recipe for Tamales Picositos is a good option for when you have a craving for something rich, spicy and original. Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 liter mashed tomatoes
  • 1/4 white onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 400 grams HUNT WINGS Hunt's® sauce
  • 1 cup chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cups margarine
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 500 grams corn dough
  • 10 corn leaves, soaked in hot water and drained

Preparation

For the filling, boil the liter of tomato puree, onion, garlic, and Hunt´s sauce. Blend with ½ cup of water where they boiled. Season with two teaspoons of Hunt´s sauce, add the chicken and reserve.
Beat the margarine, until creamy, add the baking powder and the dough little by little. Integrates very well.
Assemble the tamalitos by placing, on each leaf, 3 tablespoons of dough and 1 1/2 tablespoon of stuffing. Fold the tamales and place them in a steamer. Cook for an hour.
Let stand for 10 minutes and serve.

PRESENTATION

Accompany with cream to taste and a sprig of parsley.
