This penne arrabiata pasta recipe is a rich pasta with typical Italian "Arrabiatta" sauce with a slightly spicy flavor.

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 400 grams of penne rigate
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • 100 grams of Pecorino romano cheese
  • 1 dry pepper peperoncino
  • 1 can of tomato crushed
  • 3 spoonfuls of parsley

    Preparation

    Put salt water in a large saucepan to boil. When it is ready to put the pasta. While we cook we prepare the pasta.
    In a large skillet over medium heat put the oil, garlic and peperoncino, cook 2 minutes. Add the tomato and cook 5 minutes and put salt.
    When the pasta is ready, strain it and add it to the pan with the sauce and move a little for 2 minutes until it is well incorporated.
    Pass the pasta to a platon, sprinkle with the cheese and then the parsley. serve immediately.

    TIPS

    The chile used in Italy is called peperoncino. You can use Red Chili flakes instead of chili and you can also substitute the tomato can for 400 gr of fresh tomato without chopped seed.
