Peel and segment the oranges, working over a large bowl to catch the juice. Place the orange segments in the bowl and add the grapefruit segments. Peel and core the pineapple. Cut it into pieces and add it to the rest of the fruit. Incorporate the kiwi and sliced banana, and sprinkle with sugar if needed. Mix the fruits and let them chill for 2 hours before serving.
