The cactus salad is a very rich and nutritious salad. The nopal is an important source of fiber, vitamins A, B, B2, chlorophyll and minerals. Accompany this salad with Real Milpa Tostadas.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 6 pieces of nopal in pieces
  • 1 piece of red tomato without seeds cut into cubes
  • 1 piece of onion chopped into small cubes
  • 1/4 of Cup of coriander chopped
  • 3 pieces of green lemon its juice
  • 3 milliliters of olive oil
  • 2 pinches of Salt
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • to taste of Milpa Real toast

    Preparation

    Start by boiling the nopales in 8 cups of water with the tablespoon of baking soda for 30 minutes to remove their drool. This step can be repeated one more time if you want to leave them without any slobber.
    Drain nopales and clean with cold water.
    In a large bowl, mix the cactus, tomato, onion, cilantro, lemon juice, olive oil and salt.
    Serve the salad with Milpa Real toast.

    PRESENTATION

    Decorate the salad with some coriander leaves and serve with Toast or Totopos Milpa Real
