    Mejor respuesta - Elegida por el usuario que pregunta en cuanto a cocción y sabor cocido, a la papa. Sé de alguien que no tenía como preparar papas a la francesa.. así que vió una jícama desolada, y decidió hacerla bastones, freirlos, y naaadie notó que no era papa!!     La jícama es tubérculo que en México se come generalmente como fruta. Por fuera se parece un poco en su forma al nabo y está cubierta de una delgada cáscara de color café grisáceo. Por dentro es blanca y tiene la textura crujiente de una papa cruda o de una pera. Contiene una buena cantidad de potasio y de la vitamina C.
