Tabouleh is a recipe originally from Arabic cuisine, with this recipe you can prepare a simple salad that is a delight. You can accompany it with pita bread.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 cups wheat
  • 1/2 cups parsley, cool
  • 1/2 cups tomtato
  • 1/4 cups cumin, cool
  • 2 tablespoons peppermint, cool
  • 1/8 cups olive oil
  • 1/8 cups lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Preparation

Place the wheat in a bowl with water to hydrate it for at least 20 minutes. Remove excess water.
Finely chop the parsley, tomato (peeled and seeded), cumin and mint.
In a bowl mix the wheat, the herbs, the tomato, the olive oil, the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Let the salad marinate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

PRESENTATION

Serve with a few slices of Arabic bread.
