This caramel sauce for desserts is very easy to prepare. It is delicious over vanilla ice cream, and to accompany any type of cake.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3/4 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoons liquid vanilla

Preparation

Stir the sugar with the water in a saucepan over low heat. Leave until this color amber (without moving!).
Cover to dissolve the sugar crystals for 1 minute.
Remove the pot from the heat and add the butter and the evaporated milk.
Return the mixture to the fire until they dissolve and mix the ingredients.

TIPS

You can use this candy sauce in different dishes such as crepes, waffles, cakes, ice cream, or to decorate the dishes of a dessert.
