Place a skillet over medium heat and roast the tomatoes until their skin is slightly charred. (approx. 10 minutes) Remove from heat, peel off the skin, and cut into cubes. In a large deep bowl, mix the tomato, onion, cilantro, lime juice, oil, garlic, chipotle, and salt. If desired, you can use the sauce as is, or if you want a smooth sauce, you can blend and strain it.
