Wash the lemons and limes. Peel the limes and remove the pure pulp, avoiding the white part; it should remain as supremes. Remove the peel from the 5 lemons, making sure not to include the white part, and cut it into strips. Put the lime supremes in a pot over the heat with the strips of lemon peel, vanilla, and sugar. Incorporate well until the mixture is viscous and continue on the heat until it releases its aromas. Let it cool and jar it.
