Mango chutney is a very popular accompaniment in Indian cuisine prepared with fruits and sweet and spicy spices. This mango chutney is delicious with a curry dish.

Ingredients

12 servings
  • 3 mangoes preferably green
  • 2 cups of White vinegar
  • 1 Cup of brown sugar
  • 1 Cup of onion chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1 teaspoonful of chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of clove
  • 1 teaspoonful of allspice
  • 1 teaspoonful of coarse grain mustard
  • 1/2 Cup of raisin
  • 1 1/2 cups of apples minced

Preparation

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan to boil.
Once the boil is gone, lower the heat.
Cover the pan and leave for 30 minutes. (Note: if you prefer more sweet, you can add 1/2 cup of normal sugar).
While the chutney is still hot, put in sterile jars and reserve until it is used.
