If the sesame seeds are not toasted, rinse them under the tap water, drain well, and then toast them in a wide skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. The sesame seeds do not change much in color. (If they are already toasted, skip this step.) Let them cool and then grind in the processor, gradually adding the liquid until you reach the desired consistency.
