A delicious gravy based on wine and spices that can be made with the juices of your Christmas turkey.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 3 cups chicken soup, or turkey broth
  • 1 cup Red wine
  • 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Preparation

Remove the juices that were accumulated in your roasting pan when roasting your turkey and put them in a medium saucepan.
Add chicken broth and wine and mix and cook the gravy on low heat for 15 minutes.
While cooking use a spoon to remove the fat that accumulates on the surface of the gravy.
Add the flour and herbs and continue stirring for 10 more minutes.
Serve to accompany your turkey. The gravy will get a thicker consistency 5 minutes after cooking.
