This recipe for tamales jarochos are made with tomatoes, they are also typical Mexican tamales for the day of the dead and put them on the altar.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 20 tomatoes
  • 20 pepperoncino Italian crush red pepper
  • 1 kilo dough
  • 10 banana leaves, or tamal leaves
  • 1/2 kilos lard
  • 2 leaves black pepper
  • 1 kilo chicken
  • dried peppers

Preparation

The dry chiles and the boiled tomatoes are boiled, they are liquefied with the two leaves of pepper, a container with butter is placed and since this hot one is seasoned.
Put the plantain leaves to boil, from there they are cut in medium sizes.
The chicken is cut into small size, from there it is cooked, when this stew is put to drain so it does not have broth.
The dough is placed in a container where you add chicken broth and butter that will not be watered down.
Finally, the tamale leaf is put on the dough first, from there you put a piece of chicken and finally the chili is added and rolled.
They are put in a steamer and from there they go to the fire to cook.

PRESENTATION

They can be accompanied with a rich jarocho chocolate.

TIPS

The steamer can put a nylon bag so they have better cooking.

No es la receta, de jarochos original, están bien sus tamales pero sería llamarlos tamales rojos en hoja de plátano, un abrazo...

No porque lleven hoja de plátano son tamales jarochos ;) yo soy veracruzana y aun así ...¿que es el peperoncillo?

A través de Android no conozco las hojas de pimienta, donde las puedo conseguir. y los chiles?
