Preparation
In a bowl beat the egg slightly, add the oil, milk, flour, salt and pepper to taste. Beat until obtaining a smooth and homogeneous batter. Meanwhile, cut the onion into thin rings (about 1/2 cm) or (0.2 of an inch). Dip each ring into the batter, drain a little and then fry in hot oil.
Take care not to put many rings to fry at the same time, and that the oil is hot but not excessively, to give the onion time to cook a little better. Fry until browned turning with a fork.
Remove the fried onion rings and place on absorbent paper before serving.
