These sweet potato chips are very similar to french fries but with less fat. The sweet potato has very healthy properties and cooked in this safe way the children love it. It is also a garnish rich in flavor and very original.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 500 grams of sweet potato peeled and cut into slices or pieces
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 teaspoonful of cumin
  • 2 spoonfuls of coriander chopped
  • to taste of black pepper

Preparation

Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into slices 12 mm thick. Subsequently, cut the slices into 12mm thick sticks (they should look like French fries ).
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (400 F), insert a baking sheet into the oven for 5 minutes.
Place the sweet potato in a large bowl and cover with oil and cumin. Stir well.
Place the sweet potato in the preheated tray and bake for 30-35 minutes. Every 10 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and stir well.
Once the potatoes are golden brown and soft, remove them from the oven.
Sprinkle the sweet potato with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, a little pepper and chopped cilantro.

PRESENTATION

Place them in a nice bowl, accompanying them with a homemade tomato sauce.
