This rich beef broth is perfect for cold days; since always in these days it seems to eat warm. This broth has meat and a combination of vegetables that make it unique. Do not stop trying it.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 kilo chambarete, in medium pieces
  • 4 marrow, optional
  • 3 1/2 liters Water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 onions
  • 2 branches peppermint
  • 2 branches fresh coriander
  • 2 carrots, peeled and cut into thick slices
  • 1 corn, cut in 4 pieces
  • 1 potato, cut into cubes
  • 1 zucchini, cut into thick slices
  • 1 chayote squash, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cabbages
  • to taste salt
  • to taste lemon, To accompany
  • to taste corn tortilla, To accompany
  • to taste sauce

Preparation

Place the meat and bones (marrow), garlic and onion in a large pot with 3 ½ liters of water. Bring to a boil and remove the foam that is forming above.
When boiling, lower to medium-low heat and let cook for 60 minutes. If you do not want to evaporate much water cover the pot.
Add the corn, salt to taste and cook 40 minutes more or until the meat is soft.
Remove the onion and garlic. If it evaporated a lot of water adds more. Add the chayote, carrot, cabbage or cabbage, potato, peppermint and coriander. Cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
Add the zucchini and cook 10 more minutes or until the vegetables are cooked.
To be ready with the times that I pass you try to cut them of a regular size. Cook until the vegetables are soft and rectify with salt.
Serve warm with lemon juice to taste, tortillas and salsita.

TIPS

The cooking time since you add the vegetables depends on the size you cut them.
