A delicious innovation to the traditional lentil soup that you will love. It has a fresh touch and lemon acidity. Perfect for vegans and vegetarians or to give you a break from the meat and consume more vegetables.

Ingredients

5 servings
  • 1 Cup of lentil
  • 1 piece of potato peeled and chopped into cubes
  • 1 Cup of celery chopped into cubes
  • 1 Cup of chard chopped
  • 6 cups of Water
  • 2 spoonfuls of lemon juice
  • 2 grams of Salt
  • 3 spoonfuls of oil
  • 1/4 of Cup of coriander chopped
  • 1/4 of Cup of parsley chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of cumin powder

    Preparation

    Wash the lentils well, put them to boil in a pot with water for 35 minutes.
    In another pot, heat the oil and add the black pepper and potatoes, fry for 2 minutes over high heat.
    Add the celery and fry it for a minute more
    Add all this in the pot of lentils and let it cook for 10 minutes.
    Add the chard, cumin powder and lemon juice, cook over low heat for 10 more minutes.
    Add the parsley, the coriander leaves and salt. Serve hot.

    TIPS

    You can use lime also to perfume the soup.
