For approximately 250 ml of cajeta
• 1 liter of milk
• 300 g of brown sugar
• 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
• ¼ teaspoon of baking soda.

Mix all the ingredients in a pot with a wide and high bottom at medium temperature.

As the mixture thickens, reduce the intensity of the fire until you reach a point where it cooks without bubbling too much. Keep cooking for about 1 hour and 45 minutes, moving frequently to avoid sticking or burning.
