Sometimes, and for certain recipes, it is required that the butter is soft, and since it is usually in refrigeration, it is hard. I’ll share my super secret on how to soften butter in seconds.
Make sure the microwave is on defrost mode or at 30% power.

Place the butter stick in the microwave for 8 seconds.

Check that your stick hasn’t melted; if it has melted, you can put it back in the refrigerator. Once cooled, it will never be hard again, and you can use it again.
