I'll share my secret for learning how to properly cook spaghetti. Well-cooked spaghetti should be al dente and not contain oil during cooking to ensure it can integrate with the sauce.

Bring enough water to a boil to completely cover the pasta.

When the water is boiling, add salt; don't add it beforehand, as this would make it take longer to boil.
Don't add oil to the water, as this makes it waterproof and won't allow it to absorb the sauce well.
