Skull Piñata

This piñata is very easy to make and looks amazing; you can use it as decoration or fill it with candies and break it. In this way, you'll celebrate the Day of the Dead in style.

Step by Step

Downloadable template
• Corrugated cardboard
• Hot glue
• White glue
• Colored decorative paper
• White crepe paper
• Colorful tissue paper
• String
• Scissors
• Cutter

Print and cut out the template.

Join the silhouette of the skull with adhesive tape.

Take the corrugated cardboard and trace the skull template, then cut it out. You need to make two pieces.

Cut a strip about 6 cm wide and the length of the entire outline of the skull. Glue it with hot glue.

Glue the other top of the piñata and set aside.

Cut strips of white crepe paper and cut small fringes.

Start gluing fringe strips of paper all over the piñata with white glue. Let it dry.

Cut out all the skull details from the decorated paper and set aside.

Using tissue paper, cut squares that fit the flower template. Cut the silhouette of the flowers from the paper.

Arrange the flowers in different directions and staple the center. Shape them by bending the petals a little to give them a more flower-like appearance.

Cut a bit off the top of the head to fill the piñata.

Make small cuts and insert a bit of string to hang it.
