We all know Gamesa® Pancake Mix, and we know how to use it to create the tastiest and fluffiest pancakes. The good news is that a little creativity can enhance our usual recipe and help us create new and delicious dishes. There are ingredients that are very versatile, and Gamesa® Pancake Mix is a clear example. Although its usual use is to create traditional morning pancakes, there’s no reason not to have some fun and make our own creations. Here are some tips to achieve that.

What matters is what's inside

Let’s start with the classic. A good pancake is a delicious breakfast, a favorite for both adults and kids, but it doesn't have to stop there; a filling can give it another dimension. Tip: Fresh fruit, nuts, chocolate chips, and even cookie pieces can be added to the prepared batter to give a different flavor and texture to your Gamesa® pancakes. We recommend orange zest for a citrus touch and blueberries for a sweet and sour flavor.

Recipe for Pear and Walnut Pancakes

Ingredients: - 1 cup of Gamesa® Pancake Mix - 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon - 3/4 cup of skim milk - 1 egg - 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil - 1 chopped pear (about 1 cup) - 3/4 cup of oats - 2 tablespoons of toasted, chopped pecans - 3/4 cup of maple syrup - Sliced and warmed pear (optional) - Chopped pecans for decoration (optional) Click here to see the steps to prepare these pancakes.

It's all about the shape

Nowadays, cupcakes are in vogue, and there is no easier way to create them than with Gamesa® Pancake Mix. Tip: You can prepare the Gamesa® Pancake Mix just as the instructions on the package say; the only thing that will change is the container you put it in. Get a muffin tray, grease it with butter, and pour the batter in. Instead of a skillet, use the oven to let them rise for 10 minutes, and you will have a whole tray of cupcakes. Now use your creativity to decorate them; you can use cajeta, jam, honey, etc.

Recipe for Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Ingredients: - 1 cup of Gamesa® Pancake Mix - 1 cup of flour - 1/3 cup of brown sugar - 2 teaspoons of baking powder - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon - 1 apple - 1 cup of milk - 1/3 cup of vegetable shortening - 1 egg - 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract - 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar - 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon To see the steps to prepare this recipe click here.

Not everything delicious is sweet

Do you like the combination of savory and sweet? If so, Gamesa® Pancake Mix can be used as a component to create fried chicken. Tip: You can use the same instructions for preparing Gamesa® Pancakes included on the package or substitute the milk with cream. This raw mixture will serve to completely cover seasoned chicken pieces that should then go into the fryer. You will achieve crispy pieces with a delicious golden color.

It depends on personal taste

Returning to Gamesa® Pancakes. As with everything, there are different tastes. Some like them golden and thin, while others prefer them fluffy. Tip: The secret lies in the wrist; it’s true. When preparing the pancake batter, stop and think about how you prefer them to turn out. If you beat thoroughly until all lumps and small air bubbles are gone from the batter, you will achieve thinner and more uniform pancakes. If, on the contrary, you mix just until there are still lumps and air, you will get fluffy pancakes with a much more "bread-like" texture.

The French way

When one thinks of Paris and how delicious the food is, we cannot overlook its crepes. The good news for us is that they can also be made with Gamesa® Pancake Mix. Tip: Here the secret is in the amount of batter placed on the griddle. No oil or butter should be used, just use a non-stick griddle or skillet where the mixture won’t stick. The prepared batter should be poured just enough to cover the surface of the griddle in less than a centimeter. When it starts to brown underneath, flip it and wait for it to cook evenly. This is when you choose the filling for your crepe; cream cheese with blackberry is one of the international favorites, but no one says you can't choose savory and fill it with strips or ham and cheese. Just fold it to protect the filling, and bon appétit!

Recipe for Apple Crepes

Ingredients: - 3/4 cup of Gamesa® Pancake Mix prepared according to the package instructions - 3 eggs - 1 cup of milk - 2 tablespoons of oil - 2 tablespoons of butter - 3 tablespoons of butter for the apples - 6 cups of thinly sliced green apples - 1/4 cup of maple syrup - 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon - powdered sugar for decoration Find the steps to prepare these crepes by clicking here.

Asian Pancakes

As long as you have Gamesa® Pancake Mix, the other ingredients can be changed to achieve different results; coconut milk is an exotic alternative. Tip: when you have the batter, take coconut milk and pour it in place of regular milk. The flavor of your pancakes will change radically; they will have a natural sweetness and creaminess that can only be achieved with this type of milk. Now that we're going oriental, you can add a bit of ginger jam to this preparation and thus obtain what we will call Thai Pancakes. Enjoy your meal!
