Ingredients

10 portions
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cups oil
  • 1 egg
  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons liquid vanilla
  • 3 apples, to bake medium, peeled and cut
  • 1 cup walnut, chopped
  • 1/4 cups butter
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/3 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cups walnut, chopped, to decorate

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350º F.
Spray a 13x9-inch baking pan with oil.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour with the baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl mix the sugar, oil, egg, egg whites and vanilla.
Beat with electric mixer or hand mixer until the mixture is clear and smooth.
Incorporate the flour mixture.
Mix to combine the ingredients. The mixture is very thick. Incorporate apples and nuts.
Pour the preparation into the baking dish. Distribute the mixture evenly at the angles of the container so that the cake rises evenly.
Take to preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes. Serve only, with a touch of impalpable sugar or with the preparation that appears below.
