In a blender, blend the watermelon to obtain watermelon juice, strain through a fine sieve, and reserve the juice. In a pot, combine 1/2 cup of watermelon juice and 1 cup of sugar. Cook until the sugar has dissolved and remove from heat. Add the remaining watermelon juice, vodka, lemon juice, and orange zest.
