Mix butter, sugar, brown sugar and baking powder with the blender ; add the egg and vanilla; finally add the flour.
Divide the dough into 2, mix one half with the chocolate. Make a cylinder of white mass and one of brown mass (that are more or less the same width and length), cover with waxed paper and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Once they are cold cut the cylinders into quarters (lengthways) and reassemble them alternately vanilla and chocolate (so that the pattern shown in the photo is formed), cover again with waxed paper and refrigerate for half an hour more.
Preheat oven to 190ºC. Cut the dough into slices, place cookies with 5 cm separation. Bake for 10 minutes. And they're done.
