Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1 kilo ground beef
  • 2 cups Canned tomato, chopped in its juice
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 4 beefsteak tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 red potatoes, boiled and cut into cubes
  • 6 carrots, cut into slices
  • 1/2 cups pea, cool
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, Crushed
  • 1 Cube chicken soup, powdered
  • 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 tablespoon chipotle chile sauce, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons vegetal oil
  • to taste Milpa Real tortilla

Preparation

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil and brown the onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
Add the tomato, carrot and peas and cook for 2 more minutes.
Add the beef and cook for 1 minute.
Add the canned tomato, the tomato puree, the chicken powder, the oregano and the chili and cook until the broth begins to boil. While cooking the meat use a wooden spoon to break it and mix it so that it cooks all.
Continue cooking until the meat is well cooked. Add the potatoes and cook for 2 more minutes mixing well.
Remove the forcemeat from the heat and serve.

PRESENTATION

Accompany the picadillo of Milpa Real tortillas and pickled jalapeño peppers.

TIPS

The quality of the meat is very important. A good ground beef will be noticed on your plate.
