Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 cups milk, for the marinade
  • 1 egg, for the marinade
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for the marinade
  • 1 teaspoon mustard, for the marinade
  • salt, for the marinade
  • pepper, for the marinade
  • 6 chicken thighs, with skin
  • 6 pieces chicken drumstick, with skin
  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour, for the batter
  • 1/2 cups cornstarch, for the batter
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper, for the batter
  • 2 tablespoons paprika, for the batter
  • 1/4 tablespoons powdered ginger, for the batter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for the batter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin, for the batter
  • salt, for the batter
  • vegetable oil, to fry

Preparation

In a bowl mix until the milk is integrated with the egg, garlic powder, mustard and enough salt and pepper. Add the chicken pieces and cover with plastic wrap. Let marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
In a large bowl mix the wheat flour with the cornstarch, white pepper, paprika, ginger powder, garlic powder and cumin. Season with salt and reserve.
Once the chicken is marinated long enough, drain the excess liquid from the chicken piece and place it on the spiced flour. Bathe until completely covered.
Fry the chicken in hot vegetable oil over medium heat for a few minutes, until the scab is golden brown and the chicken is cooked inside. Drain. Repeat with all the pieces.
Serve with coleslaw.

PRESENTATION

Serve accompanied by coleslaw.

TIPS

Remember to fry the chicken in a sufficiently hot oil and low heat, otherwise you run the risk of the chicken remaining raw inside.
