Hawaiian Skewers with Turkey Ham

If you love the combination of ham and pineapple, enjoy these skewers ideal for the whole family. You will love its flavor thanks to Zwan® Virginia Turkey Ham, now with its new presentation with 24 slices (400 g), high yield, gluten free and 97% fat free.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/2 cups ketchup, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups soy sauce, reduced in sodium, for the sauce
  • 3 tablespoons apple vinegar, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups honey, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups lemon juice, without seeds, for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika, for the sauce
  • 2 packages Zwan® virginia turkey ham, 400 g
  • 2 cups pineapple, in cubes
  • 1 cup red pepper, in large pictures, to accompany
  • 1 cup pumpkin, sliced, to accompany
  • 1 cup carrot, sliced, to accompany
  • 1 cup cambray onion, in the middle, to accompany
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, for vegetables
  • to taste salt, To accompany
  • to taste black pepper, To accompany

Preparation

For the sauce, mix the ketchup with the soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, lemon juice, garlic powder, mustard and paprika until completely integrated. Reserve until use.
Fold the slices of Virginia Zwan® Turkey Ham so that you have a small 4x4 cm square. Repeat until finished with the package.
On a skewer stick, insert 3 pieces of Zwan® Turkey Ham Virginia in the shape of a square, then place a pineapple cube, repeat until the skewer stick is full. Place the skewers on a hot grill pan and bathe with the sauce using a brush. Cook the skewer turning to brown all sides, constantly bathe with the sauce.
On the same hot pan, grill the red bell pepper, the squash, the carrot and the chambray onion, pour a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper; cook for 8 minutes and remove from heat.
Serve the skewers in the company of the grilled vegetables.
