Cook this original recipe of potato gnocchi very easy and quick to prepare, served in a ragout sauce with bacon and sausage with Del Fuerte® tomato sauce, flavored with fresh thyme, this delicious preparation is served with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1/2 kilo of potato cooked, mashed as puree, for gnocchi
  • 1/4 of kilo of wheat flour for gnocchi
  • 1 piece of egg for gnocchi
  • 1 pinch of Salt for gnocchi
  • 3 cups of Water to cook gnocchi
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 spoonfuls of Butter for the sauce
  • 1/2 piece of onion finely chopped, for the sauce
  • 2 spoonfuls of garlic finely chopped, for the sauce
  • 1/4 of Cup of carrot finely chopped, for the sauce
  • 1/4 of Cup of celery finely chopped, for the sauce
  • 1/4 of Cup of bacon finely chopped, for the sauce
  • 1 Cup of sausage diced for salsa
  • 2 pieces of Puree Condimentado Tomato Puree® for the sauce
  • 1/2 Cup of Vegetables soup for the sauce
  • 2 twigs of thyme for the sauce
  • 1 pinch of Salt for the sauce
  • to taste of Parmesan cheese To accompany

    Preparation

    In a bowl mix the mashed potatoes with flour, egg and salt, knead until a smooth dough, rest the dough covered with non-stick plastic until dry.
    On a clean table sprinkle flour and spread the dough to form thin strips, with a knife cut the 3 cm strip and press with a fork to form the gnocchi.
    Heat the water in a pot until it reaches boiling point, submerge the gnocchi and cook until they float. Remove from the water and reserve.
    Heat a skillet over medium heat with oil, butter and cook onion until transparent. Add the garlic, carrots and celery. Add bacon and sausages and cook a few minutes. Add the Fuerte® Spiced Tomato Puree, broth and thyme. Cook until the sauce thickens and season.
    Serve the gnocchi with the sauce add Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve with Parmesan cheese and basil leaves.

    TIPS

    When you cook the gnocchis you will know they are ready when they float in the water.
