A delicious homemade pineapple jam that you will love, unlike commercial jam you can control the amount of sugar you add or the texture that you like. Accompany your toasted bread with this delicious fruit jam.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/2 pineapples
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 lemons

Preparation

Remove the pineapple peel and cut it into squares.
To a pot, add the fruit and the pineapple juice. Cook for 60 minutes. Take care that the jam does not run out of liquid as it could stick, if you see that it is necessary, incorporate more pineapple juice or water.
After one hour has passed, add the sugar. In this step, continuously move the preparation. Cook for 30 minutes or until the preparation has the desired texture.
Once the preparation is cold, add the juice of two lemons. Blend until you get the desired consistency.

PRESENTATION

Place the jam in a glass jar with lid, so you can store it in the refrigerator and last longer.

TIPS

You can use pineapple in syrup in case you do not get fresh pineapple. In case the pineapple runs out of water and the cooking time has not finished, add more water.
