Bowl of Rice with Vegetables and Sweet and Sour Sausage

If you enjoy sweet and sour food, try these tasty LALA® Plenia® sausages accompanied by rice with vegetables, an option to cook something different at home. You can take advantage of any type of vegetable that you like the most and have different options to combine. We are sure that the little ones will love this delicious rice with vegetables and sweet and sour sausage!

Ingredients

5 portions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, for rice
  • 1/4 cups onion, finely chopped, for rice
  • 1 1/2 cups White rice, washed, soaked in warm water and drained
  • 1/2 cups carrot, in medium cubes, for rice
  • 1/4 cups pea, for rice
  • 1/2 cups pumpkin, in small cubes, for the rice
  • 3 cups chicken soup, for rice
  • 1 cup broccoli, cooked, in small pieces, for the rice
  • 1/4 cups coriander, leaves, for rice
  • to taste salt, for rice
  • to taste black pepper, for rice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, for the sausage
  • 1/2 cups cambray onion, with tail, sliced, for sausage
  • 1 package Lala® Plenia® Turkey Hot Dog Sausage, 250 g
  • 1/2 cups green bell pepper, in medium squares, for the sausage
  • 1 cup yellow bell pepper, in medium squares, for the sausage
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, in strips, for the sausage
  • 1 cup pineapple, triangle, for the sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice, for the sausage
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup, for the sausage
  • 1/4 cups rice vinegar, for the sausage
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce, for the sausage
  • 3 tablespoons honey, for the sausage
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger , for the sausage
  • to taste black pepper, for the sausage
  • enough sesame seed, praline, to decorate

Preparation

For the rice, in a saucepan with hot olive oil, fry the onion while stirring until it starts to have a transparent tone. Add the previously drained rice and integrate. Cook until the grain begins to have a bright tone, add the carrot, the pea and the pumpkin and add.
Pour in the chicken stock, add the broccoli, coriander, season with salt and pepper; cook over low heat until liquid begins to boil. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, remember that the fire must have a low flame, otherwise the rice could burn, and you should not move it to prevent the grain from crushing. Reservation.
On a cutting board, the Turkey Lala® Plenia® Hot Dog Sausage, cut into half a centimeter slices and reserve.
For the sweet and sour sausage, in a large enough frying pan with hot sesame oil, fry the onion while stirring. Add the Lala® Plenia® Turkey Hot Dog Sausage, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, and pineapple. Integrate and cook until golden.
Pour in the orange juice, ketchup, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, ginger powder, and enough pepper. Cook for 6 more minutes over low heat or until the sauce begins to thicken.
Serve the rice with vegetables in a deep bowl, add the sweet and sour sausage and decorate with praline sesame.

Remember to take advantage of the vegetables you have at home, if you can't find something on the list, replace it.
