Preparation
Cut the tortillas into thin strips and fry them until they are lightly golden, then drain on paper towels. Set aside.
Remove the seeds from the chili and cut it into thin strips, fry it (optional).
In a pan with a splash of oil, add the tomatoes, garlic, and onion, and sauté for a few minutes.
Blend the tomatoes, onion, and garlic with one liter of broth.
In a pot, pour in the mixture and add the rest of the broth, the sprigs of epazote, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve by placing a layer of tortilla, then the broth, the chili, avocado, cream, cheese, and a splash of lime.
Tips
You can buy pre-fried tortilla strips at the supermarket.
