At a trusted friend or family member's house, ask them to store the gifts for you, especially if you’re buying large gifts like a bicycle or a cart.

If your car has a trunk with a lid, hide them there; this won't work if your trunk can be seen from the window or the back seat.

If you feel comfortable hiding toys in your office, go for it; your kids would never find them there. If your office is at home, don't hide them there, as it's a place they will definitely search.

Use your kitchen, inside pots or boxes of food they don't consume often.

Basements or attics are great places to hide gifts, as they are areas that children rarely visit.

Hide them in plain sight, buy cardboard boxes and label them with boring names, such as "bills" or "history books"; although it's not the safest place, it's unlikely they will feel tempted to open these boxes.
