Orange Atole

  • 1 cup water, tibia
  • 1 cup Smucker's® Orange Marmalade
  • 250 grams nixtamalized corn dough, prepared, without butter
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk, tibia
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 2 cloves
  • orange, to decorate (in slices)

  • Pour the warm water and Smucker's® Orange Marmalade into a bowl. Subsequently, dissolve the jam very well with the help of a spoon.
  • Pour the water with the dissolved Smucker's® Orange Marmalade in a medium saucepan, add the spices and the orange peel. Heat for a few minutes.
  • Pour the warm milk into a bowl and add the corn dough little by little, dissolving it completely. Once all the dough is dissolved, pour the preparation into the pot that contains the mixture of water with jam and spices, mixing constantly until the preparation thickens. Remove the atole from the heat.
  • Strain the orange atole, serve in cups and garnish with an orange slice.
