  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom, whole
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorn
  • 4 cloves
  • 3 star anise pods
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 sticks cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons black tea
  • star anise pod, to decorate

  • Heat the milk and water to medium heat and keep it on the fire.
  • With the help of a molcajete or mortar, grind the spices one by one and add them to the milk slowly. The total infusion process will take approximately 15 minutes.
  • Finally add the sugar and black tea; infuse for 1 min and strain.
  • Serve in heat resistant cups or glasses; Garnish with cinnamon and star anise.
