Unhealthy healthy ingredients

Don't be fooled, there are many ingredients and products in the world that sail under the banner of healthy but are actually not. Here are some examples for truly healthy eating. Remember that it all comes down to having a balanced diet when you want to take care of your body. To achieve this, you need to eat well, and it's difficult when we have some crossed concepts. These are some products that promise to help but might be better kept out of your reach.

Cereal

It's not that it's bad for your health, but it's also not a nutritional marvel. If you've looked at the boxes of commercial cereal and noticed how enriched they are, this is not due to their natural state, but because they add all that fiber and vitamins artificially. Eating cereal isn't harmful if it's not done in excess, but don't rely on a bowl of this product to give you the strength you need each morning. This includes cereal bars.

Dressings

We all have in mind that eating salad is healthy and helps to get fit. It's true, but what can ruin that idea is the dressing. Unless you're using olive oil and natural vinegar, you might be consuming more calories than you think. Commercial dressings are filled with corn syrup to make them last longer and thicker, but this drastically increases the calorie count. It has been shown that salads sold in fast food establishments are not harmful, but the dressing they give you is almost equivalent to one of their burgers in terms of calories.

Sushi

We know that Japanese culture is one of thin people and mostly good eating. This is because they eat light, fresh, and healthy, but what we know as sushi in our country differs greatly from the original Japanese diet. Starting with the soy sauce, we are talking about high amounts of sodium, the frozen fish used in most establishments can be contaminated with mercury, and the tempura rounds off a rather caloric meal. If you really like sushi, go to places that assure you the product is fresh and where they don’t lean too much towards fried preparations like skewers.

Oatmeal and Granola

This is one of the biggest myths. Unless you see how granola is made at home, the likelihood is that it is made with amounts of preservatives and sugars comparable to fast food from the corner. It has been shown that both oatmeal and granola from large and small brands, even organic ones, contain three tablespoons of sugar per cup. Be careful.
