This recipe is a little laborious but it is absoultamente delicious, the favorite recipe of my grandchildren! The dough is made a day before and then filled with a rich nut mixture before baking.

Preparation
Dissolve the yeast with milk and warm water.
In a deep bowl, sift the flour, sugar and salt.
In another deep bowl mix the butter, the lemon scrape, the sour cream and the eggs. Add the yeast mixture and the flour mixture and knead with force.
Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before using (or until 1 day before).
Split the dough into 8 and with a roller flatten each part in a circle. Cut each circle to get 6 triangles (3 cuts).
Preheats the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.
To make the filling mix the sugar, the butter, the nut, the sour cream, the vanilla and the lemon peel.
Place a spoonful of filler in the triangle base and roll up to get the shape of a horn.
Place the horns in two baking trays previously greased with butter.
Cover the little chickens with a little egg white and sugar.
Bake the chives for about 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and serve.
