Preparation
First prepare the apples with caramel. Melt the butter in a large skillet and add the brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook and stir until all the sugar is melted. Add the slices of apples and cover with this caramel mixture.
Cook apples over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until soft, stirring frequently. Keep warm over low heat when ready.
Prepare hot cakes by mixing Gamesa® Hot Cakes with cinnamon, and add milk, egg and melted butter. Stir with a balloon whisk so that no lumps remain and let stand 1-2 minutes to thicken.
On a large nonstick skillet melt a little butter and put 1/4 cup of the hot cakes mixture. Wait for bubbles to bubble out and turn golden and turn them over. Repeat this step until the whole hot cakes mix is used.
Serve the hot cakes with the mixture of caramelized apples and maple syrup.
