American Style Banana Pie

This pie recipe is a classic of American pastry, it is very practical to make, no baking is needed. This banana pie is super creamy and has a delicious combination with a smooth texture that you will not be able to resist.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1 cup walnut, toast, for the base for the base

  • 2 cups milk, for the pastry cream

  • 1 tablespoon clear vanilla extract imitation, for the pastry cream
  • 1/2 cups sugar, for the pastry cream
  • 1/2 cups cornstarch, for the pastry cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter, for the pastry cream
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 bananas
  • walnut, chopped, for garnish

Preparation

With the help of a processor, grind the walnuts, cookies, nutmeg and salt; Add the melted butter little by little until it is completely incorporated in the processor, remove.
Transfer to a jar mold and spread until the mold is completely covered, freeze for 15 minutes.
For the pastry cream, mix the milk, the yolks, the sugar, the vanilla and the cornstarch in a cold pot, then heat at medium temperature without stopping moving for approximately 5 min; once it thickens, turn off and add the butter.
Remove the base of the cake from the freezer and place a layer of sliced bananas covering the entire base, add the pastry cream and spread with the help of a spoon or spatula. Refrigerate again for 30 minutes.
Beat the cream and icing sugar with the help of a balloon mixer for 3 minutes until doubled in size, the consistency should be smooth.
Remove the cake from the refrigerator and place banana slices around it, add the whipped cream to the center and spread with the help of the same spoon, finish by sprinkling chopped walnut and enjoy.
