  • 1 cup butter, soft
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon, slit
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups walnut, toasted and chopped
  • 1/4 cups Water, for the caramel sauce
  • 1 cup sugar, for the caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the caramel sauce
  • 3/4 cups cream, for the caramel sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for the caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla, for the caramel sauce
  • enough vanilla ice cream
  • to taste walnut, chopped and toasted, to decorate

Preparation

Hollow out Washington® Red Delicious Apples and set aside. Mix together the butter, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and walnut. Fill the apples and bake at 200 ° C for 10 minutes or until they are roasted and cooked inside.
For the caramel sauce, heat the water and sugar until caramelized (golden color, not burned), add the cream, butter and vanilla and remove from the heat.
Serve the apples with ice cream and bathe with caramel sauce, decorate with chopped walnuts.
