Ingredients: 2 cups sugar; 4 eggs; 2 1/2 cups flour; 1 cup cow's milk; 3/4 cups vegetable oil; 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder; 1 teaspoon vanilla essence; 1/2 liters whipping cream; 100 grams cream cheese; 150 grams icing sugar, (optional); 250 milliliters cajeta, (store-bought or homemade); 1 kilo icing sugar; 2 unflavored gelatin powder, slices; 1/2 cups glucose syrup; 2 tablespoons edible glycerin; 1 teaspoon pecan essence, or whichever you prefer; 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening; gel food coloring, red, black, and yellow

Preparation

For the base: Beat 2 cups of sugar with 4 eggs until thickened and well combined. Then gradually add 2 1/2 cups of flour along with 2 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder (I like to sift the flour twice to remove any residue and aerate my base), incorporate 1 cup of milk, 3/4 cup of oil, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. When adding the milk, do it gradually so that the mixture doesn't become too liquid.
