Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups grated sweet coconut
  • 1 raja cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 to taste cinnamon powder

Preparation

Boil the cup of milk with the cinnamon slit in a pot over medium heat. Add a cup and a half of the grated coconut and let it cook until the coconut softens and the milk is absorbed.
Add condensed milk to the mixture and stir with a wooden spoon constantly so that it does not stick, 15 to 20 minutes over medium heat.
On the other hand, in a pan, brown the half cup of the remaining coconut, adding the cinnamon powder.
Remove the cocada from the fire and form balls or a cake. Pass the balls or decorate the cake with the remaining coconut.

PRESENTATION

Accompany this dessert of a good pot coffee.

TIPS

You can also add pink dye to coconut to get a Mexican pink cocada.
