Ingredients

16 portions
  • 4 tablespoons syrup, golden
  • 300 grams flour, common and something extra to sprinkle
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons spice, mix of: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg
  • 100 grams unsalted butter, softened, cubed
  • 150 grams brown sugar, dark
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups raisin, to decorate
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted (optional)

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375 ° F (190 ° C). Heat the syrup until this liquid has cooled down.
Sift flour, baking soda and spices in a bowl. Add the butter.
Rub the fingers until the mixture looks like fine crumbs.
Add the sugar to the crumb-like mixture and combine well.
Beat the egg in the cooled syrup, until well blended.
