Here you will find a simple, economical and delicious recipe of homemade cereal bars, made with amaranth, oats and coconut. They are ideal as a food between your strong meals or as a tasty dessert. In this recipe you will find three different delicious flavors: almonds and raisins, blueberries and chocolate and lunettes, cookies and chocolates. Children will love it.

  • 3 cups oats
  • 3 cups amaranth
  • 1/2 cups coconut, grated
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 2 cups honey
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 cup cranberry , for the Cranberry Bar with Chocolate
  • 1 cup chocolate chip, for the Cranberry Bar with Chocolate
  • 1 cup almond, for the Almond and Raisin Bar
  • 1 cup raisins, for the Almond and Raisin Bar
  • 3/4 cups M&Ms, for the Lunetas Bar, Chocolates and Cookies
  • 3/4 cups Oreo cookie, for the Lunetas Bar, Chocolates and Cookies
  • 3/4 cups chocolate, for the Lunetas Bar, Chocolates and Cookies


In three bowls it separates equally oats, amaranth and coconut. Mixture.
In the first bowl add almonds and raisins.
In another bowl add sparks of blueberries and chocolate.
In the last bowl incorporates lunettes, cookies and chocolates.
In a pot melts the butter. Add the honey, sugar and salt. Bring it to a boil, lower the heat and let it boil for 2:00 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the vanilla.
Add a portion of the previous mix to each bowl. Stir very well.
In a slightly greased square refractory, place the mixture and press firmly. You can help with a bean crusher.
Place the refractory in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Cut squares of 6 x 6 cm.


Cut squares of 6 x 6 cm., Present them in a tray.


You can use any ingredient to flavor the bars, it all depends on your tastes.
