This recipe always triumphs, the intense flavor of chocolate combines perfectly with the citrus notes of orange. In addition, the use of low sugar gives all the protagonism to the two main flavors. The good thing about this recipe is that you do not need a mixer , or a scale, that's why it's so simple, it's only necessary: ​​a bowl, a measuring cup and a balloon beater and you do it in the blink of an eye.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups flour, sifted
  • 50 milliliters corn oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 150 milliliters natural yogurt
  • 30 milliliters whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Grease and flour 8 muffin pans.
On the one hand, mix the flour with the baking powder and the sugar.
On the other hand mix the egg, the natural yoghurt, the oil and the milk, until frothing.
Join both mixtures, and make sure you integrate them very well.
Separate the dough in two different containers and add the teaspoon vanilla and the cocoa spoonful and mix again.
To the other put the orange zest and integrate very well.
Proceed to fill the molds of muffins, first a spoonful of a mixture and on top of each other, carefully and without stirring, just one on top of the other. Calculate that they are full almost to the edge.
If you are going to add chocolate chips or pieces of candied orange, do it now.
Lower the temperature of the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake the muffins between 12 and 15 minutes, or until they are lightly browned and when you insert a toothpick, it comes out clean.
Take them out of the oven and enjoy.

PRESENTATION

If you want, you can sprinkle chocolate chips or pieces of candied orange peel on the dough just before putting it in the oven. You can serve them both hot and cold (if they did not eat them before).

TIPS

* You can change the whole milk for soy milk, if you can not tolerate lactose, and yogurt for yogurt de-lactose. * Try to use sunflower oil or corn because they do not change the flavor of the food unlike canola oil, safflower, olive, etc.
