This recipe is from a traditionally Mexican sweet that reminds us of traditional pepitories. It is the favorite sweet of children and adults, we gave it a twist adding amaranth, almonds and sesame seeds. Ingredients

30 servings
  • 1 package of wafer of colors
  • 250 grams of sugar
  • 100 milliliters of Water
  • 50 grams of amaranth
  • 50 grams of almond fillet and toast
  • 50 grams of toasted sesame seeds

    Preparation

    Put the sugar in a pan, cover with water taking care not to splash, put on fire and evaporate the water at medium temperature to form the copper-colored caramel, without moving at all or else it will crystallize.
    Take a wafer and with a fork put some candy so you can paste another wafer.
    Since two wafers are joined, the bank passes through the sugar and covers it with amaranth, almond or sesame seeds.

    PRESENTATION

    Put these amaranth, almond and sesame pepitories in the center of your table and combine the colors of the wafers as well as the flavors they will love.

    TIPS

    Watch the temperature of your sugar to form the candy otherwise it tends to burn.
