This cookie recipe with chocolate chips is excellent. Cookies come out soft, even after they have cooled. They taste great accompanied by a ball of vanilla ice cream.

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chip


Preheat the oven to 375 F or 180 C.
Melt the butter in a pot over low heat.
Mix the flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.
Put the melted butter in the blender . Add the sugar and brown sugar. Beat at medium speed.
Add the egg yolk, egg, 2 tablespoons of milk and the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture.
Incorporate the chocolate chips.
Put the dough in the refrigerator for a few minutes to cool.
With a scoop of ice cream, make balls of the dough and place the balls on a baking sheet on baking paper.
Cook for 14 minutes or until golden brown. You should check the cookies after 5 minutes in the oven to avoid overcooking.
Let cool and enjoy!


To make sure you get it right, in step 2 the butter and the sugar have to be ground and liquid before adding the flour.
