To accompany good salty or sweet tamales, prepare this recipe for Low Calories Rice Atole that will undoubtedly be the perfect complement to any whim.

This atole is inspired by the classic rice with milk but with a texture that you will love.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 cup lactose free milk, low in calories
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 cups lactose free milk
  • 1/4 cups Sugar substitute
  • 1 raja cinnamon
  • 1/4 cups rice, rinsed
  • enough cinnamon, to decorate

Preparation

Dissolve cornstarch in a cup of low-fat, lactose-free milk.
Heat the rest of the milk, add the sugar substitute, the cinnamon stick and the rice. Cook for 15 minutes.
Add the milk with the starch and cook for 10 minutes or until it thickens and the rice is soft.
Serve hot, decorated with cinnamon powder.

PRESENTATION

In a cup decorated with cinnamon powder.

TIPS

The rice absorbs liquid, if necessary you can add more rice milk to obtain the desired consistency.
