A Greek delight these grape leaves are stuffed with spiced goat cheese.

Ingredients

12 portions
  • 12 fig leaf
  • 1 tablespoon thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lavender, chopped
  • 180 grams goat cheese, White
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • measurements salt, to taste

Preparation

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the grape leaves and boil for 30 seconds. Remove from the water and rinse. Repeat one more time and dry the leaves.
Place a sheet on a cutting board with the veins facing up.
In a deep bowl, mix the goat cheese with the spices.
Place 1/12 of the cheese in the center of a sheet and season lightly with salt. Drizzle each round with 1/2 teaspoon oil and wrap in the leaves. Coat the rolls with a little oil.
Heat a grill or skillet over high heat and cook the grape leaves for 2 minutes on each side.

PRESENTATION

Serve with garlic bread and lemon wedges.

TIPS

Grape leaves can be found in supermarkets or in Arab or Mediterranean stores.
