For lovers of artichokes, prepare these delicious steamed artichokes accompanied by a cheese sauce; based on goat cheese, parmesan cheese, serrano ham and walnuts. It will be the perfect entree!

Ingredients

2 portions
  • 2 artichoke
  • 2 yellow lemons
  • to taste salt
  • 1/4 cups butter, cut into cubes, for the cheese sauce
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped for cheese sauce
  • 1 tablespoon onion, finely chopped, for cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cups white wine, for cheese sauce
  • 3 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped for cheese sauce
  • 1 cup whipping cream, for cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cups Serrano ham, finely chopped, for cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cups goat cheese, for cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cups parmesan cheese, for cheese sauce
  • 1 pinch black pepper, for cheese sauce
  • to taste Serrano ham, to serve

Preparation

To clean the artichokes, with a knife cut the top of each without reaching half. Cut the tips of the leaves with scissors and remove the smaller leaves from the bottom. Peel the stems and cut the bottom.
In a pot with boiling water, place a grid, arrange the artichokes and squeeze the lemon, add salt and cook covered over medium heat for about 50 minutes or until, when removing a leave, it comes off easily.
Meanwhile, heat a pot over medium heat with the butter, cook the garlic and onion until they are transparent, add the white wine, the parsley and let reduce. Add the whipping cream, the serrano ham, the goat cheese, the parmesan cheese, season with pepper and cook until thickening.
Remove the cooking artichoke, open sharply with your hands and bathe with the hot sauce. Decorate with Serrano ham and serve.

PRESENTATION

Serve the artichoke with the dip inside and decorate with the serrano ham in the center.

TIPS

So that the artichoke does not turn black and rust, you can cook it with lemon.
